I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
